In 2025, I shared my work during the Atelier Route in the former Wolvenplein prison in Utrecht. For two days, I sat among my paintings and welcomed over 300 visitors. The conversations about what art evokes and means were touching and inspiring. Despite the intensity, I look back with great gratitude. This experience leaves me wanting more.

Three years ago, I started painting again. What began as cautious making became a necessity to process experiences and emotions. For a long time, the word artist felt too big, but by taking my work seriously and sharing it, I’m growing into it. Painting is no longer a hobby, it’s an essential part of who I am and my ongoing journey.
